Overview

Grow, view and control your AI Agents' knowledge from the Notebook interface

Your Notebook is the central repository for all information that your AI Agents should have access to. While your AI Agents can always view listing information from your PMS, that information is often inadequate for answering guest questions. This is where the Notebook comes in, storing all sorts of nuanced information that your PMS simply can't contain.

What kind information should my Notebook contain?

Your Notebook should contain any information that is not immediately accessible on your PMS. Much like a new employee might check an internal knowledgebase to learn about one of your listings, your AI Agents can read through the Notebook to find the information to answer a guest question.

See the section How to Write a Good Note for more instructions on writing AI-friendly Notes.

Example

Let's see an example of the Notebook in action:

  • A new guest checks in and sends the following message:

Hey, we just checked in! The place looks great but it's a bit cold and we can't figure out the heater or find the thermostat. What should we do?"

  • Your AI checks your PMS and sees "Amenities: Heating" but can't find any information on the location of the thermostat or how to adjust the heater.

  • Next, it checks your Notebook and finds the following Note:

Heating & Air Conditioning

  • The unit has two split units (one on each floor) controlling both heating and a/c.

  • The splits are remote-controlled, and each remote is located on the wall directly beneath the individual unit

  • Be sure to turn the unit on before making any adjustments on the remote!

  • With this information in-hand, your AI is able to draft a response to the guest's query and help them resolve the issue!
