Your AI Agents are only as good as the data that you give them.
The more information your Agents have, the more guest questions they will be able to handle without your intervention. Understanding the three key data sources below is the first step in setting your AI Agents up for success.
AI Data Sources
There are three key knowledge sources that your AI will have access to:
1) PMS Sync
Your AI's first data source is your existing property management software (PMS), like Hostaway or Guesty. Once synced, your AI Agents will be able to pull information directly from your PMS to answer a wide array of guest questions. Listing descriptions, amenities, availability and pricing — all of these basic details are pulled and updated automatically from your PMS.
If you haven't already synced your PMS with Cortado AI, please revisit the Sync your PMS section above.
2) Listing Info Packets
While your PMS is a great starting point, it does not contain enough nitty gritty details to answer more detailed questions from your guests. This is where your Listing Info Packets come in, adding detail and nuance to the basic information pulled from your PMS.
You can put any sort of information you'd like in your Info Packets, from directions for using the hot tub, to check-out procedures and your favorite local restaurant recommendations. Once uploaded, your AI will have access to all information in the Packets, and will use it to answer relevant guest questions.

Finally, your AI Agents will have access to powerful external search tools via Google Maps Search and Directions. These search tools are used as a backup to the information already contained in your PMS and Info Packets and are only utilized in two specific situations:
Local Recommendations — Your AI will utilize a Google Maps Search function to answer guest questions about local recommendations, such as nearby restaurants, grocery stores, cafes and other local attractions (e.g., "What's a good, kid-friendly dinner spot in the neighborhood?").
Directions — When asked for directions to/from the listing or the proximity of local venues, your AI will execute a Google Maps search to answer the guest's question (e.g., "How far are you all from the airport?").
It is important to note that these search features are only used as a fallback if the requested information cannot be found in your PMS or Listing Info Packet. If you would like to recommend a local restaurant or business, please add its information to your AI's Listing Info Packets.
